And increasingly, whisky makers are recognizing this, bringing to those bar shelves variants that haven’t always been around.With youthful variants and inventive bartenders getting into the mix, grandpa’s favorite drink is finally getting a fresh fillip.

There’s a new generation restaurants and bars with whisky lists instead of wine pairings and bartenders that are really shaking things up. Forget The Manhattan and The Old Fashioned. These cocktails, using Indian spices and innovative ingredients are smoking – literally.
