Lessons for children

If you have children at home, it might be a great idea to bring home a pet. From pets, children learn to be responsible by caring for them. And when pets fall sick, they tend to them with great care, in the process learning to love not just people but also members of the animal world. And when these pets die, they learn the idea of death and loss.

Origin of Pilates

Born in 1883, Joseph Pilates was a sick child. He spent a lot of time researching avenues for fitness and body building and developing exercises to overcome his ailments and become stronger. When the influenza epidemic in 1918 claimed thousands of lives, he noted that none of his trainees had died. He eventually moved to New York in 1928 and started what would be the first Pilates studio, which soon became popular with dancers. Almost 90 years later, Pilates remains an effective form of exercise and is now popular worldwide.

All these expeditions require steely strength, meticulous preparation and financial grounding.

With more than 20 summits rising over 6,600 ft, Corsica, France’s Isle of Beauty is very glamorous like its sybaritic locals.
