Few of my favorite things which add a personal touch!
Yes, entertaining is about great food, fabulous décor and of course, high spirits. But more often than not, we tend to neglect the glassware. However, it makes a lasting impression. So get a style-high with a pick of deliciously intoxicating glassware. You can take your pick from elegant wine flutes, majestic whisky glasses and funky beer mugs. Make sure that your glassware befits your precious spirits. And when you aren’t entertaining, make an interesting display out of your cherished collection of glasses.

Kitchen Design !
Here is the right recipe for a warm and efficient kitchen. If the kitchen is not well charted, even an otherwise swank home could look uncomfortable. And yet when you think about it, you don’t need a large kitchen for it to be functional. A majority of people underestimate the amount of work and time spent in the kitchen. Therefore in addition to beauty, practicality is an important factor to consider for your kitchen space. If you are about to undertake a kitchen remodel, odds are you’ve heard a lot about the kitchen work triangle. Although it’s often hailed by designers as the best way to set up a kitchen, the concept of the kitchen work triangle can be intimidating. In reality, it’s a relatively simple idea that can save time and energy. In simple terms, the kitchen work triangle connects the three main work areas in the kitchen – wash, prepare and cook. As a general guideline the distance between these areas should be no less than 4 feet and no longer than 9 feet. If the distance is too small, it can make a kitchen feel cramped and blocked. If it’s too large it makes cooking a hassle.
Contemporary look – a nice burgundy adds a fresh flavor
Once the work triangle is established, functioning in the kitchen becomes a lot easier. They say ‘cook to work off stress’. Going by this saying, we should design kitchens, which are convenient with Continue reading “Heart of the Home!” »

home accents – chrome antique bronze chandelier.
Accent pieces can be an eye catcher amidst your regular décor elements,
if you can make the look work. For one, an accent piece does for a space what a tie does for a suit – it completes it, gives it definition and throws the rest of your space in beautiful relief so that anyone who walks in can enjoy all of it without missing anything out.The whole point of an accent piece is to make it stand out and create drama in the space. By that, you could interpret it as contrast, variant or the complete opposite of the general scheme of things in your room. As long as you focus on the ‘making it stand out’ bit, you’ll do fine.

Tranquility and Serenity
Whether you’re updating your existing space, building a new home, adding an extension to include a large bathroom or upgrading your fixtures and fittings, careful planning will help you achieve the bathroom of your dreams. Even in a small room, you can work wonders with the range of stylish, space-saving designs available. When choosing a bathroom scheme, the first thing to do is decide on the layout. The current trend is to include spa baths and walk-in wet rooms. However, before you knock down walls or move waste pipes, contact your housing society to get requisite approvals and also find out about safety regulations from the municipal corporation. This is important as it will influence the design of the room. Be realistic about the possibilities – there’s no point in including a separate shower in Continue reading “Shower Power!” »

cozy and complete !
As the most private room in your house, bedrooms demands special attention. Did you know that the average person spends up to a third of their life in bed? This fact alone is enough to emphasize the importance of creating a well-planned and relaxing space in which to sleep. However, few people have the luxury of being able to allocate a room to just sleeping or accommodating a bed. Today, most bedrooms must at least provide a dressing area and storage space for clothes, and some do more – doubling as an office space, private living room or, in the case of children, playroom. Ensuring that all these additional needs are catered for, and that the room is still a relaxing and soothing place to be, can be a challenging task. But smart planning and ergonomic furniture options will make it a lot easier for you.
Go for a simple but coordinated look. This will lend a more cohesive look to your bedroom.
